KINGDOM OF SORROW, HATE ETERNAL, DEAD TO FALL First-Week Sales Revealed

The self-titled debut album from KINGDOM OF SORROW — the band featuring Jamey Jasta (HATEBREED) and Kirk Windstein (DOWN, CROWBAR) — sold 6,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 131 on The Billboard 200 chart.

KINGDOM OF SORROW will make its live debut tonight as it begins a string of dates in support of the band's new release. These dates will kick off in Worcester, MA on February 27 and extend for a week across the Northeastern U.S. Support includes TURMOIL, DEAD TO FALL, THY WILL BE DONE, and more on select dates.

The following are notable heavy metal/hard rock U.S. sales debuts for the week ending February 24, 2008, as reported by Nielsen SoundScan (all CD figures are rounded to the nearest hundred [except numbers over 10,000, which are rounded to the nearest thousand]; The Billboard 200 chart position included, where applicable):
